Website for Institute Pacome:

Publisher of comics by Sylvain, Lucie, Tian, Lisa - artists who taught comics to foster and disabled children in Siem Reap and Battambang.

What is interesting is that they used theatre techniques to elicit stories from their classes. Been thinking a bit lately about the connection between comics and theatre. Especially after a great performance by Company Turak in Phnom Penh, ‘The Theatre of Objects’

There was a bit of local grumbling about the writer trying to fold everything into the ‘graphic novel’ category, but I’m sure there will be more and better press to follow.
