Two things from Bugpowder (it really is a small world after all…)

When living in Portland I used to enjoy Fiona Smyth’s artwork in publications like Snipehunt and J McLaughlin’s underappreciated anthology, Raw Meat.

Now she’s got a site. http://www.fionasmyth.com/

Sounds like Portland’s changed a bit…felt like a pop culture playground when I was there.

Now? Gentrification and ossification make the town a little older and colder…http://www.wweek.com/html/musica0106.html

Also, you might want to try:

“Geeky Shit for comics snobs”.

Okay, next time my OWN referrals, I swear…

Word from the unstoppable Rick Bradford:

Well, I’ve gone and done it. I finally caved in to peer pressure and started up a blog. A blog, for those who don’t know, is basically a web-based journal that’s become really popular because it’s easy to use.

I’d like to invite you to check it out. My decision to do a blog arose in the wake of my decision to not publish a second issue of ‘I Am What I Am’ (my journal zine). If you liked that zine, then you may enjoy the blog (titled, coincidentally, ‘I Am What I Am’).

For those not used to blogs, be aware that they’re set up so that the most recent entry is at the top of the page. So, if you’d like to start at the beginning, October 27th, you have to go to the bottom of the page. And if October 27th isn’t at the bottom, then you’ll find it in the Archive link at the top.

For the record, if you’re receiving this, that means you’re one of the following: (a) a friend, (b) someone who read my journal zine, or (c) a combination of the two.

The blog is here:

cheers, all,

–Ricko

Stefan Neville is ‘gushing proud’ to be included in the Small Press Expo Anthology Book. And also Bruce Mutard once again makes an appearance!
