Aaron Burgess writes:

Check 1, 2.

If you would like to participate in the new anthology series THE INK coming out next year, then read the flyer for all the crazy details. THE INK will be the

most talked about comic to come from our shores, so while you may be reading through my poor attempt at self promotion, that still shouldn’t stop you from

giving THE INK a shot.

We all like music, be it country, opera, chip tunes, goth, punk, or whatever get’s your foot tapping. So get stuck into it. Only the best of the best will be

accepted, I ain’t got time for slackers (though money always works), so put your nose to the grinder, and blow me away.

A note from Amber Carvan:

Hello Friends,

I am writing with exciting news – our book is out! For those of you who don’t know, Mandy Ord and I have been frantically drawing pictures over the past 12 months for a collaborative comic book. We got a grant to produce the book from the Australia Council (thanks Ozco!) and Pluto Press agreed to publish it (thanks Pluto!).

Anyway, as I mentioned, the book is now complete! Sixty (that’s right, sixty!) glorious pages of new comics, all collected together in a cute little yellow pocket book called “Brickdog and Other Stories” with an introduction by Eddie Campbell. How excitement!

You can get hold of a copy by

(a) going to your local bookshop (ask if they have it and if they don’t, ask

them to order it in for you), or

(b) visiting the publishers website at www.plutoaustralia.com and buying a

copy online. Here’s a direct link:

http://www.plutoaustralia.com/catalogue/display.php?item=232

For those who might want to order a copy the details are as follows:

Brickdog and Other Stories

By Amber Carvan and Mandy Ord

Published by Pluto Press

ISBN: 1-86403-190-5

RRP: $14.95 Retail ($13.45 online)

So… anyway, yay. It’s all very pleasing. Please buy it! And please spread the word to people who you think may also enjoy it.

Cheerio,

Amber
